Overall Goal: The project is contributing to good governance and transparency in national climate policy of Bangladesh.
Summary of the project:
Taking account of existing impediments in the governance mechanism in Bangladesh NCC,B members and border civil society actors must work together for building individual and collective capacity to achieve the highest level of integrity, transparency and accountability to offset a range of governance deficits which can adversely affect the resilience-building efforts of the vulnerable communities.
Considering the whole scenario NCC,B has planned this proposed project based on three main thematic areas: (a) Influencing the NAP process in favor of the most vulnerable people; (b) Monitoring Climate Financing for improving effectiveness and transparency; (c) Strengthened capacity of civil society organizations and media to motivate policy actors towards climate governance.
While this project will also address the issue of loss and damage, migration and low carbon development time to time by supporting the initiatives of Climate Advisory Forum members (CPRD, CCDB and CDP) and Climate Action Network in South Asia (CANSA) in the national, regional and international level.
