Muhammed Forruq Rahman

Muhammed Forruq Rahman is a Research and Advocacy Manager with the Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCC, B), a voluntary organization to work for the issues of climate change at the community, and regional, national, and international levels. Before this, he worked for the Centre for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD), a progressive think-tank in Bangladesh that has been consistent in research and policy advocacy for establishing climate justice. He has strong analytical and research skills with demonstrated experience of working in marine sciences, fisheries resources, climate change challenges, and natural resources management. He is an author or co-author of more than a dozen articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He holds a Ph.D. in Fisheries Resources from the Ocean University of China as a Chinese Government Scholarship scholar by China Scholarship Council (CSC). Prior to his doctoral degree, he received a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of Chittagong. He enrolled in Disaster Management at the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies, University of Dhaka. Mr. Rahman is a life member of the Fisheries Society of Bangladesh.

Md. Abdul Hannan

Md. Abdul Hannan works as a Finance & Admin Manager at NCC’B. He undertook her graduation from Sirajgonj and post-graduation in English from Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology, Dhaka. He completed Masters of Law (LLM) from Mirpur Law College under the National University and completed CA.CC under the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Bangladesh (ICAB). He aspires to deliver his maximum effort possible with utmost sincerity and is looking forward to accepting all challenges to accomplish his mission. He is a highly motivated person and is always looking to upgrade himself with the changing environment. In the NGO and development sector, he has already gathered 10 years of experience in Accounts, Audit, and Admin both in national & international reputed organizations.

In his free time, he likes to travel and reading novel.

Pratitee Kamal

Pratitee Kamal joined Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCC, B) as a Research and Advocacy Associate for the project entitled “Advocacy to enhance governance for the climate-vulnerable people in Bangladesh (Phase-2)”. Her key responsibilities are to assist in the implementation of research activities and mobilizing relevant stakeholders in advocacy initiatives. She has worked for many NGO’s and got the opportunity to work on different projects, namely, green and clean community, investigating violations of natural resources, recycling and waste management, environmental policies, environmental health, toxic-free Bangladesh. She worked on the impacts, adaptation to, and mitigation of Climate Change, develop databases, communication methods to assist communities to manage and plan for the future. She has obtained her Master of Science major in Soil, Water and Environment from the University of Dhaka and was awarded a “Research fellowship” from National Science and Technology (NST) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for her research work. Her research interests are climate change impacts and adaptation, environmental education and community mobilization, sustainability of human societies, pollution control, natural resource and ecosystem management, and biodiversity conservation.

Sajjad Hossain

Sajjad Hossain, at present working as a Media and Communication Associate in Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCC, B) for the project entitled “Advocacy to enhance governance for the climate-vulnerable people in Bangladesh (Phase-2)”. Before this, he served as a Field Registration Assistant in United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). He also has experience working in Dole International as Project Officer. He worked for Door Seven Event & Activation as an Executive Admin Officer. While he was a student of Communication and Journalism, he started his carrier as a reporter in, a campus-based online portal in Bangladesh. He had the privilege of working as a volunteer with the British Council, the Hunger Project, the Aathung Foundation, Lighter Youth, and Jago Foundation. Through his work experience, he developed his skills of coordination, project management, monitoring, litigation, report writing, editing, team management, program administration, operating procedures, database application, compiling a weekly and monthly report. Mr. Hossain earned his Bachelor’s and Post-Graduation degree in Communication and Journalism from the University of Chittagong. He is interested in the arena of climate change, and the blue economy. Moreover, he is also interested in the field of child protection, gender-based violence, and policy and livelihood issues for transgender.

Dilshad Jahan

Dilshad Jahan, at present working as a “Campaign Assistant” with the Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCC, B) for the project entitled “Advocacy to enhance governance for the climate-vulnerable people in Bangladesh (Phase-2)”.

She completed her graduation and post-graduation from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism in the University of Dhaka. She has experience in the area of Journalism, Communication, and Public Relations (6.5 years). She worked in electronic and online media.

Through her work experience and educational background, she gained skill and expertise in different modes of communications. She has interest in result-oriented research, communication and connecting with people.

Md Jushas Mia

Md Jushas Mia joined at Network on Climate Change in Bangladesh (NCC, B) in November 2020 as Office Assistant. He was involved in the project ‘Safety Ensured for Children of Unsafe and Risky Engagement (SECURE)’ implemented by Nabolok Parishad at Tongi, Gazipur for two years. Mia is assigned to carry out a variety of functions including maintenance of office procedures, workflow and to support other personnel with organizational tasks.
